ted turner and jane fonda

this is from jane fonda’s book, my life so far, chapter twenty four – a calling.
” I had been with Ted only a short time when he decided to create the Turner Foundation and focus its grant making on protecting the environment and reducing population growth: Growing numbers of people on a small planet with finite resources spells trouble, not just for the environment but for the human species as well, since a healthy environment is our life support system.
While i understood environmental issues, the population part was a little fuzzy – not the reason it is a problem, but what to do about it. Whenever he spoke publicly ( and privately), Ted hammered away relentlessly about how population growth was the central problem of our time. He would recite statistics: 840 million people go hungry every night and 2 billion are chronically malnorished: 1 billion people try to live on less than $1 a day and another billion on less than $2: more than $2 billion people lack basic sanitation: i billion do not have access to clean water, adequate housing, or rudimentary health care. This was his mantra. “
i realize that i was all about saving the planet 20 years ago when i was a blue green algae salesman…then with my fall from the grand canyon…where i said to god, why did i not die. why did i have to learn suffering and pain…why learn massage and energy work… water, plastic and now gasoline pollution solutions. it is becoming clear that i chose to be a part of the group that will stand and work for my world.
the greenfootglobal drive green, drive clean
i am going to have my car tested at the air care here in vancouver and have a start point to see if greenfootglobal gas additives work…people are not going to stop running their cars and i was taught by dr darryl kollman, in 1990 that oxygen is finite. eventually we will run out and that will be the last piece to the environmental issue that is going to haunt future generation. since the gas industry is hell bent on making more gas available and people are not going to stop running their cars…china and india growing middle class who are dreaming of their mercedes benz.
Katherine Clark ( i am talking about her in #10 in my podcast ) is my hero, she has been an advocate for change for as long as i have known her and it is my pleasure to see if this business is going to go. to reduce the co2 production on a grassroots platform is enough for me…i am looking for others who want to do the same.
I am going to run my car through air care this week and then i will be writing about my gas consumption. i have one guy who has two sample packs, one that he gave to one of his buddies with three trucks. as well i have russ testing it in alberta, three venture capital guys and a landscape maintenance business owner who has a huge japanese diesel truck on board…i just got into this in november and it has taken this long to do my own due diligence.
my goal is to see if it works and then be the promoter and provide the solution to the fuel pollution that will be the future. water, air and earth…as the five element theory has stated, is part of our makeup. we have to deal with this as much as anything.
by the way, take a good look at what david wood and david sharp are sharing on www.empowernetwork.com/moneca
…i am looking for 100 bloggers to join me on this business. thank you.
