the flu season 2009
angela and i at our high school reunion!
this year has been an interesting one for the subject of the flu virus. one of the interesting comments i have seen recently, i have copied for you below.
Lynne, the Ions Way (I think that’s the name), water that you are drinking should be doing you a world of good because it should be helping your blood and your body’s other fluids to become more alkaline versus an acidic environment, which is where disease can manifest. It’s helping to release the toxins from your past flu shots out of your system.
Also, please everyone take a good high quality high potency whole food based nutritional supplement daily. Even if you eat all organic and try to eat the best diet, which don’t get me wrong, you should, many of the vital nutrients that our bodies need for optimum health are still not in the food because they are not in the soils anymore.
Plus, there are several great Immune Builder supplements that you can pick up from Whole Foods to begin taking as a preventative measure. The key is to prevent the illness from manifesting in the first place and if we focus on this, we will rarely get sick.
Blessings! “
the above from a comment christina norman made on a facebook question that lynne day asked ” flu shot or no flu shot?”
i am in the camp that being sick with the flu is a natural part of life. getting sick is an indicator that what the body is doing is not right for the season or the lifestyle. if we have adequate rest, supplementation and playtime, the body is resilient to the viruses that are floating in the environment.
if we are compromised in our toxic load and our response abilities, the body will get run down and need time to recover. recovery is part of the learning process. mucus is an indicator of the need to assess the intake of food and liquids so that the body does not go into a histamine cascade.
of course, there are people who are linked into a spiral that is part trends and partly being not educated to the reality of their intake. the amount of sugar that is ingested as well as the amount of soda and milk in the diet, creates a wonderful host to the parasites that love that sticky sweet terrain to live in and grow.
i love telling my clients that what they eat is mainly for the bugs and worms that live within every human body. they say yuck but it is true.
some host are resilient to the colonies of entities that live within but others are not so lucky. that is what the flu shot means to me. being unaware of what the body is in need of and continuing the ingestion of foods and liquids that wear down the immune system so that it cannot do its job of evicting these freeloaders out.
so flu shot or no flu shot…i would add my vote to not getting the flu shot. i would like to spend the time making chicken soup, eating my superfoods, taking my grapefruit seed extract and taking my vitamin c’s and multi minerals. of course, eating my klamath lake super blue green algae and drinking my ionized alkaline water. teaching myself macrobiotic and raw recipes.
being healthy is a big job and it takes time to learn….don’t give your power away to the government, the pharmas and the bankers, who are farming the masses for the money they lost in the mismanagement of the economic meltdown of 2008. funny how the swine flu conveniently appeared!
take care and be well!
ps, christina wrote another great piece later on in the comments and of course, i have to copy and paste it into this as well….
“
No, I don’t mind at all Moneca and you rock too Lynne! We have to keep in mind that our bodies are constantly renewing itself. Next year, you will have a totally new stomach lining, liver, pancreas, everything! But if we keep feeding our bodies the same thing, it will renew, but in the same condition it was before. On the other hand, if we begin … Read Moreto give our bodies the nutrients that it needs to achieve optimum health, along with living a healthier lifestyle, your body and it’s organs will renew stronger and healthier each year. Forget about whatever you did or gave your body in the past. That was then, this is now. You have no control over that now and can’t take it back. What you CAN control is what you do in the here and now, and what you do now, on a consistent basis, will determine your future. Just focus on giving your body what it needs right now, do it daily while living whatever a healthy lifestyle is for you, because it’s not the same for everyone, and your body will take care of the rest while showing you it’s appreciation in the form of optimum health. Blessings all!” by christina
