mom’s day story

mom

this week has been delightful.  the stories wanderfully amazing.  in reference to mother’s day, i will tell you this one.  my mom is an eighty-two immigrant to canada.  she has been here about 55 years but still does not comfortably speak english.  she has had a tough life and now in her 9th decade, she is happily content.  gardening is her passion and she is a very hardy person.

mom's garden

about two days ago, she asked me to loan her a wand.  also provide her with the paperwork/brochures that explain the zeropoint to her friend, mrs lo who lives down the block.  well you know that this would have given me a giggle.  my little mom selling  wands to her  friends.

let me explain, she is really quite a lady.  she has been the sole provider for our family her whole life.  even now she is up at 6 am in the morning and puttering in her garden.  her life is simple.

i gave her a pendant from my last order.  i have not asked her for feedback on the zeropoint.  so to hear her say that she has found ease from wearing the pendant is really important to me.  why…because ultimately i work at businesses that make me money but also to work at businesses that help my family, friends and clients feel better.

notice that i said that i did not ask my mom how she felt.  she came to me with her requests.  i have never asked my mom to sell anything, yet she with her own initiative wanted her friends to use the zero point tools.  she came back today and said that mrs lo wanted the pendant, just like hers.

i mentioned that the pendant was approximately $450.  no problem she said back to me.  wow!  then she said that connie, another friend who i spoke to last week wanted to test the wand when i get another shipment.  lol.

connie was wandering through our garden, looking for my mom last sunday.  i was sitting in the sun, eating some strong garlic guaquamole and seaweed.  it was a lovely day and i was grateful to have some time alone basking in the lovely vancouver sunshine.  connie asked me if i was working that day.

honey, i work all the time.

so work i did.  i whipped out my wand and started telling her about my big brother and his hip story.  i told her i had a pendant on my mom.  she was piqued.

good thing, that i have the ladies around the neighbourhood yakking about wands…hahahahaha.
