as i am revising my website and blog, i am finding gems of inspiration in the work.  i am understanding that my life practise demands that i live a path that is not written by a journalist.  i am living a life that is unique in that it demands that i live true to my life lessons.  two of my best teachers have been rahashri and grant of the wandering yogi studio.

Radhasri
Radhasri (Raad-ha-shree, Rhonda Fogel) was born in Montreal, QC and lived in Vancouver, BC from 1997 – 2009. She has taught Yoga full time since 1998, has been the coordinator of ‘Hatha Yoga Shala’ (formerly known as ‘The Wandering Yogi Studio’) since 2000 running the Vancouver based Yoga Studio for 8 years.
Paramahansa Niranjanananda Saraswati gave her a spiritual name in 2002 on the first of several trips to India for studies. A student of Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra, she has drawn inspiration from and honors the teachings of Donna Farhi, Ifat Erez and Ana Forrest, all of whom she has completed teacher trainings with.
Radhasri has been studying solely under the guidance of Zhander Remete and Emma Balnaves of the Shadow School of Hatha Yoga since April 2004 and completed a 3 year teacher training with them. Radhasri is currently the only approved Shadow Yoga teacher teaching in Canada.
She is in the process of relocating to Montreal, Quebec and is available for personal consultations.

i stumbled into their studio on grant street, two years after having my child and relocating to vancouver bc.  my kid is now ten.  they left last year to wander so i was with them for about seven years, continuously 3 or more days a week.  they were patient with me but i know that rahasri was disappointed that i had no responsibility for my own practise.   the reason for yoga is to explore and develop my own practise.  i was afraid of making a mistake and doing it wrong, i was my own enemy in the journey.

about four years ago they found their teacher in shadar remete who is an international teacher.  he is from hungary but presently is in australia but really he is a roaming yogi.  the practise in the studio radically changed and i as a student was confused by the change of study. www.shadowyoga.com

now, i am grateful that rahasri and grant, went on their search and found this road to yoga.  the lessons that were taught since they became shadow yoga teachers have been more truthful of how the body works than the yoga i have learnt before and after they started with shadow yoga.

they have just announced their 2010 schedule and i am posting it here for them.  i hope that you will have the time and inspiration to take their classes.  i will be writting about my impressions of their teaching in the coming weeks but i will start you off by sending you to their site.
