what was so funny about this month, aug 2009, i was reintroduced to the blue green algae from klamath falls oregon. twenty years ago, i swam with the algae in the old volcanic soil lake. i jumped into the cold head waters where the lake just appears from the ground. i sold algae, i ate algae ( 50 grams a day ) and i learnt about algae. to this day i know that algae is an important component of living on this planet in the future.

I remember Darryl Kollman who was the president of Cell Tech, a mlm company that was promoting this superfood. He had coined a phrase ‘Hope is a Molecule’ and he was the best at explaining the process of the carbon foot print to all of his distributors. How by the year 2000, if the pollution of the planet was not checked, we would be on the flip side of downward spiral. He had invested his whole life to the cultivation of algae as a food source. That is until he found the mother lode of blue green in a shallow lake in Klamath Falls Oregan, the lake was feed by a spring head just north of the town so it was pristine.

as i rewrite this section from the year 2011, i realize that with the nuke age so evident, mr. kollman was right, we are on a seesaw with the environment. As the world becomes more polluted, we must find the source of life that gaia is streaming from.

what i have learned is that the planet and humanity will be alright…we just have to have hope and learn more about superfoods. eat more blue green algae.

b-g is the base food in the food chain. from this algae, all life forms. this scientist president was adamant that the children of this world will have to eat and it will have to be from algae ponds grown all over the world, in the barren dry deserts that will form because of climate change.

i feel that is why i have this second chance to show my world why this food is so good. why this antioxidant water and algae are the perfect combination for nutrients and detoxification.

interestingly enough, an old friend michel cote arrived on my doorstep after the kamaset music festival. last time i saw him, he was being sent to give out posters for a fashion show i was working. suki’s had shut down robson for a fashion show and i was a hairstylist for that show. he came back with a girlfriend, natalie, who eventually had 4 kids with him. they were together for 20 years.

he is retracing his steps and hoping to find the spring that once was and will be again. it was wonderful to see him and hang with him and to know that the things i loved about him then are still there.
