dehydration in pdx

it was a great weekend away in portland.  met kai and went to cannon beach.  i did miss my athena though.  i was glad that i brought my scio machine, but i left that at stella’s for the few days we were away, dang it.

we were in the car for a couple of hours from portland to the coast and i realized how wired i am to my technological world.  being a sensitive soul, i missed my biopro pendant, which is an emf deflector.  it was a bit of a guilty pleasure to check into the motel at the beach and know that i had wireless in the room.  like i said dang it.

kai calling...

kai calling…

fortunately sanity prevailed when the coast line opened up beyond the beach break and the whales playing in the bay started spouting their playful snorts for kai to see.

i was again transpired by the blonde sandy beach and the wide vista that stretched out into the horizon.  i was strucked dumb by yet another aha.  this is what i live for.  the sand, the space and the smell of the ocean.  ah.

kai was a wonderful companion.  he had me confused when he shifted from paying for a place to park the car at the local trailer park/campsite place…to renting a room at a coast side motel with a small pool.  i thought what a quick switch from roughing it to a comfortable and very stylish place to park our backsides for a night.

the best was the five pounds of organic blueberries we picked prior to getting to cannon beach.  yum.

the sun beamed out of the clouds and we had an hour of sunshine before the grey moved in to start the evening.  it was the longest walk on the biggest beach i had ever seen.  that is a grand statement since i have seen many beaches.  wow.

the next day we had to get back to portland because kai had to get to san fransisco in a couple of days to do a water class at the gratitude cafe, http://www.cafegratitude.com/. that would be a long drive.

the main reason for me getting to portland was first, kai was going to be there to pick up his van.  the ionways people had flown him down to reno to ask him for his opinions about the company direction.

second was to introduce kai to my best friends stella and matt farina.  stella, i have known for 20 years and i count her as one of my lifelines.  she has just landed a position with a new company and i was hoping that one day she will be able to introduce the water company to the development company.

so with three of the  best people i know in the same town, i had to go down.  it has happened before but i was in vernon at the komasket music festival at the time and no way could i go then.  sheila snow would have killed me if i missed the komasket.

so here is the punch line.  i did not have my athena and stella does not have a water system.  she drinks from the tap.  omg, that was a bit of a stretch for me. the chlorine is such an issue – cancer causing,as well as all the pipe sediment.  i bought a gallon of plastic water and that really tested my gag reflexes – drinking petroleum is always so hard for me now.  i am such a water snob, as tj note has mentioned in facebook.

i was in portland for two days and i was dehydrating.  my skin was dry and flaking.  my hands and feet were cracking.  since i was travelling and i was eating at the whim of my hosts, i was totally acidifying and i could see the physical signs.

i am so glad to be home and drinking my ionways water.  it is such a comfort to me that i have such a great product in my life.  i am blessed.  i will have to travel with my system next time.  which i do when i drive, it is always in the locked thule box.  last time i took a plane, i knew that they would have water at the ionways convention.

last night i had the pleasure of having a late meeting with lynne day, from california, at monks in false creek.  we had met at the red rock casino ionways birthday bash.  it was a hoot to make a new friend and have a great liking for someone who was just as excited about her ionways business as i was for mine.  we were hot on that deck!

lynne and i talked about the water like long lost friends.  she was amazed to find a place in west vancouver at a health food store selling water from an athena.  she also found people in whistler who knew what ionized water was.  i am a great water advocate and i know that the future is a water world for me.  i love drinking great water…ionways water!

today, i took my buddy michel cote and his daughters kali and ella to the airport.  they were adventuring in bc for the summer and it was the last day of their stay.  bon adventure mon amis.   bon chance etbon voyage!
